That's 90s Festival Corby Stage 2024

That's 90s Festival used the 8m x 6m trailer stage as both a performance platform and a large branded backdrop for its DJ-led show. When the normal tow vehicle and stage combination could not pass through the site entrance, the trailer was transferred to a smaller vehicle for the final move onto the grass.

A stage plan built around the event and its site.

The programme centred on DJs and a lighting-led dance show, so the stage needed enough covered depth for the DJ position, performers and a substantial lighting package. Full-width top branding and tall side banners were also central to the event look rather than optional additions.

HeathTech supplied the 8m x 6m stage and managed the lighting design, rigging and show operation. The larger stage gave the production room to build a layered lighting design behind and around the DJ while keeping the branded sides clearly visible from the audience area.

Site and access

Working with the conditions on the ground.

The final entrance onto the grass was too narrow for the trailer to pass while connected to the normal tow vehicle. The stage itself would fit, but the combined width and turning line of the vehicle and trailer would not. Continuing with the original combination would have risked contact with the gate and left no useful margin for steering corrections.

Delivery and setup

A practical route from arrival to show-ready.

The trailer was unhitched before the restricted entrance and transferred to a smaller vehicle for the final move into position. Delivery took place a day early, leaving enough time to solve the access constraint and complete the branding and lighting installation without compressing the show-day schedule.

All banners and lighting were rigged while the roof was lowered. HeathTech remained with the stage to operate the live show, then returned to the structural load-out the following day because the event finished too late for a sensible same-night collection.

The result

The completed event setup.

The completed stage gave the festival a fully branded front and side profile, with the 8m x 6m deck providing the space required for its DJ and lighting design. The smaller-vehicle transfer solved the only viable access route, while the early delivery and next-day collection kept those vehicle movements separate from the public event.
