What is a screen tech?

A screen tech looks after playback, live camera switching and content changes during your event. For straightforward HDMI playback, we set up the screen and show you how to connect your own compatible laptop or media player, so a dedicated tech is optional. The outdoor cinema package already includes a screen tech.

Your crowd, your programme

Football screenings, fan zones and club events

Create an outdoor viewing area for a big match, a club fundraiser or a community sports day. Position the screen for a clear view and add commentary sound that suits the audience and venue.

Rugby tournaments, motorsport race days and multi-match programmes each need their own source, access and timing plan. Set the full hire period in the calculator, including setup before guests arrive.

Screen equipment and connection details

Broadcast inputs and technical support

You provide an appropriately licensed broadcast feed and any required screening permissions. Standard hire does not include a sports subscription or a guaranteed internet connection.

Agree your HDMI source, audio route and any SDI conversion in advance. Test the source and connectivity before match day, including an appropriate fallback plan with your event team.

TV Licensing guidance for organisations

Commentary, sponsors and match-day information

Add a PA for commentary and announcements, then plan sponsor slides, match schedules and visitor information around the broadcast. A screen tech can manage source changes and content cues, or we can hand over an agreed simple feed.

For a larger site with a stage, lighting or several technical suppliers, bring the requirements together in a festival and outdoor-event production plan.

Power and site requirements for sports screenings

Trailer access

Provide a route for delivery and collection, firm level ground and space for stabilisers. Keep the working area separate from arriving spectators.

Viewing and commentary

Share the crowd layout, nearby residents and noise restrictions. We plan sightlines and optional speaker positions around the venue.

Electrical supply

Use a dedicated 32A three-phase supply as the planning requirement. We confirm distribution and cabling; a suitable generator is an optional extra.

Weather and event management

Equipment limits and site conditions guide operation. You arrange permissions, stewarding, facilities and contingency decisions with the venue.

Standard screen hire, sound and support are selected separately. Discuss your screening if the programme needs a tailored package.

Sound for your audience

Clear sound, from front to back.

Choose compact speakers for background sound, a medium floor-stack system for a more focused audience, or flown PA for wider coverage. We match the layout to your site and programme, from commentary and presentations to a full event soundtrack.

Sporting-event screen hire questions

Can you provide a big screen for a football match?

Yes. Our 7m x 4m LED trailer can be hired for club gatherings, outdoor football screenings and organised fan zones. You provide an appropriately licensed broadcast source; sound, generator power and technical support are optional extras.

Can the screen be used for a fan zone?

Yes. Share the site plan, expected attendance, match schedule and audience layout. We plan the screen position with your event team; crowd management, venue permissions and audience facilities are arranged by the organiser.

Can you provide commentary sound?

Choose speakers in the calculator and tell us your audience size and site layout. We agree the audio connection, coverage and any venue noise restrictions before the event. Sound is not included in standard screen-only hire.

Can sponsors appear on the screen?

Yes. Agree approved sponsor slides, advertising clips and event information alongside the sports feed. Switching and timed playback can be handled by an optional screen tech or your experienced production team.

Can the screen show multiple matches?

We can show a programme of matches or switch between agreed sources. Simultaneous split-screen layouts need advance discussion of the sources, processing and content rights; they are not an automatic feature of the basic hire.

Do you provide the broadcast feed?

No broadcast subscription, screening rights or guaranteed internet connection is included. The organiser supplies a suitable licensed feed and the permissions required for the event. Agree the HDMI source or SDI conversion and connection tests with us in advance.

What electrical supply is needed?

Plan for a dedicated 32A three-phase supply, with final distribution and cabling agreed for the package. A suitable generator can be added if mains power is unavailable.

Can a technician operate the screen?

Yes. Add a screen tech for feed changes, sponsor playback and technical operation. Straightforward agreed HDMI playback can be handed over to your own competent team after our trailer setup.

Can the screen be used for daytime sporting events?

Yes. The outdoor LED display supports daytime and evening viewing. Screen position, audience sightlines and content are planned for the light and venue conditions.

How do we get a sports screen hire price?

Enter the delivery postcode, dates and times, then choose your speaker, generator and technical extras. Use the full programme, including pre-match access and any extra days. We confirm site requirements and availability in the quotation; the agreed deposit and booking terms apply.
