Town-centre live music event / Market Place, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Party on the Market Mansfield Stage 2024
Mansfield's Party on the Market required a main stage that looked complete from every public approach into the Market Place. HeathTech supplied the 8m x 6m trailer stage, PA wings, top and side branding mounts, then designed, rigged and operated the lighting around the sound and video package.
Project overview
A stage plan built around the event and its site.
The free town-centre programme combined live bands, solo acts and hosted entertainment in the centre of Mansfield. With an audience filling the Market Place and surrounding approaches, the stage needed enough depth for the performers and enough visual scale to remain the focus of the square.
The 8m x 6m stage was fitted with PA wings for the main loudspeaker positions, a top banner and full-height side branding. JnS Sound and Lighting supplied the sound system and video wall, while HeathTech managed the stage and lighting design and worked around the shared technical layout.

Site and access
Working with the conditions on the ground.
The Market Place provided firm concrete paving, but it was a highly visible public square with several technical systems competing for the same working footprint. The PA, video wall, lighting, branding and performer access all had to align with the stage without leaving late conflicts for the event team to resolve after the town centre became busy.
Delivery and setup
A practical route from arrival to show-ready.
Delivery began at approximately 6am, giving the stage and technical teams clear working space before the public programme. The trailer was positioned first, followed by the PA wings and branding supports. Lighting fixtures and banners were installed with the roof lowered, allowing the detailed work to be completed at an accessible height before the structure was raised.
The stage setup took around two hours. HeathTech then completed the lighting work alongside JnS Sound and Lighting's PA and video installation, operated the lighting through the live programme and collected the stage after the event at around 7pm.
